The inclusion of space-based communications including hybrid fleets in the connectivity mix, would seem to be the only feasible way to network billions of devices scattered across the globe and capture all the data (big data) produced.  They would therefore not just support, but be integral to, the development of the IoT sector.  This programme will cover various enabling solutions to achieve ubiquitous, pole to pole connectivity.

​Anders heads a business entity within Sony that provides solutions leveraging 4G/5G IoT communication technology for application areas such as mobile health and safety. The vision is to be a facilitator and front-runner for next-generation health and wellness solutions.

 

Anders has a background from the med tech industry and has worked in several major companies, among them Hewlett-Packard, Siemens and HemoCue. Anders has also experience from the telecom and cybersecurity industry where he has worked in several start-up companies providing application platforms, application and consulting since 2000. This includes companies like Advenica, Appium/Aepona, MIMT, Heyhop, Bluelabs and moveAround. Anders has held management functions within business development, R&D and product management.

David Burr, Vice President, Business Development, Comtech EF Data

David develops strategies and applications to address the maritime and satellite operator market verticals. Burr is passionate about the role of efficiency and its application to satellite communications technology and business models. As a 30-year veteran of the satellite communications industry, he previously served in various Product Management, Sales Engineering and Project Management roles at SES, O3b, New Skies, Polarsat, Comstream and GTE. Burr holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.

He leads the IoT business development activities and forges key partnerships with the most prestigious IoT solution providers, network operators and vendors across the world.

​Mr. Perard has studied at Harvard Business School in Boston, MA, McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Grenoble Institute of Technology in France.
